Principles of Operation
Since the value of the Alliance is derived from its members, a description of the operating model must start there. Each member operates independently, and is responsible for the professionalism of its services, image, and ultimately customer engagement. Each member will continue to maintain its existing client relationships, and as a normal course of doing business, will continue to look for new clients. There will be no requirement for consistency of on/off-line branding, as it is understood and valued by the Alliance that local cultural norms dictate sales and marketing norms. The only requirement is that each member’s online presence prominently and proudly displays and links to the Alliances’ logo and all assets appear professional. It is further expected, as outlined in our values, that each member proactively or at least reactively, identifies opportunities to leverage the services of the other Alliance members.
Overview
The Alliance operates as a global network with one global virtual hub, and four regional operating units.
The global hub is the main governing body, and sets the overall strategy and standards, establishes the global branding and marketing direction, and works with the regional hubs for the enforcement. Furthermore, it is the global administrative and operations hub, developing the Alliances’ global on/off-line image and assets, as well as global events. It is the body which ensures that the Alliance has a consistent global quality and image. It has an operational role in ensuring quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the network of global delivery centers. Lastly, the global hub ultimately arbitrates conflicts and differences between regions.
Each regional hub, managed and operated by an appointed Master Member, is responsible for achieving the Alliances’ vision at the regional level. This means the identification, vetting, and relationship management of each member organization within that region. This implies understanding the needs of the Alliance and its members, addressing the threats and weaknesses, while marketing its strengths and opportunities. It is responsible for driving the standards and strategies defined by the Alliance at the regional level. It will establish and run advisory groups to gain input on strategy and direction, and hold networking and knowledge sharing events for its regional members. It is also the arbiter of conflicts.
